A Proud Milestone: C3 Technology Solutions Celebrates Newly Certified E-Commerce Advisor Under ITC READY Salone Project
Freetown, Sierra Leone — C3 Technology Solutions is thrilled to celebrate a landmark achievement: the successful completion of the International Trade Centre's (ITC) READY Salone Training of Trainers in E-Commerce, and the certification of our team member as an official E-Commerce Advisor, now poised to work as a consultant within ITC's growing network of digital trade experts.
A Milestone Worth Celebrating
Announcing the achievement, Ibrahim Wurie Bah, Technical Manager at C3 Technology Solutions, shared his pride in the accomplishment:
"This certification is more than a personal achievement — it is a statement about what is possible when talent, dedication, and the right opportunity come together. Completing the ITC READY Salone Training of Trainers in E-Commerce and earning certification as an E-Commerce Advisor is a testament to hard work, curiosity, and a genuine commitment to helping Sierra Leonean businesses thrive in the digital economy. At C3 Technology Solutions, we could not be prouder to see one of our own step into this role and join ITC's network of consultants driving digital trade forward."
About the ITC READY Salone Programme
The training forms part of READY Salone, a four-year initiative (2024–2028) implemented by the International Trade Centre — a joint agency of the World Trade Organization and the United Nations — in partnership with the Government of Sierra Leone and funded by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA). The programme is designed to unlock economic opportunities for Sierra Leonean youth and youth-led businesses in the digital economy, with a particular focus on expanding digital skills among young women and entrepreneurs across the country.
A cornerstone of READY Salone is the creation of a national network of certified e-commerce advisors: trainers equipped to guide local businesses through the practical realities of selling online, building digital strategies, and competing in regional and global markets. Through an intensive, hands-on Training of Trainers, participants gain the practical skills needed to support businesses navigating the digital economy — from e-commerce strategy and digital tools to mentoring the next generation of entrepreneurs.
From Classroom to Practice: Guiding 6 SMEs Through the E-Commerce Journey
Certification, however, was only half the story. As part of the practical, hands-on component of the ITC READY Salone Training of Trainers, Ibrahim Wurie Bah put his newly sharpened skills to work immediately — taking on the mentorship of six small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and guiding each of them through a full, structured journey into e-commerce.
The engagement began at the foundation: helping each SME move beyond a conceptual understanding of e-commerce — demystifying what it means to sell online, why digital presence matters, and how it connects to real business growth. From there, Mr. Bah walked the businesses through the practical building blocks of a modern digital storefront, including:
- Creating and optimizing social media channels to establish a consistent, professional brand presence
- Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Search Engine Marketing (SEM) to improve visibility and reach the right customers online
- Setting up and optimizing Google Business Profiles, helping SMEs become discoverable on Google Search and Maps
- WhatsApp for Business, turning everyday customer conversations into a structured sales and support channel
- LinkedIn Business presence, positioning SMEs for B2B visibility and professional networking
- Facebook page setup and optimization, tapping into one of the region's most active customer bases
- Virtual marketplaces, including guidance on setting up and managing accounts on online marketplace platforms
- Payment integration, connecting SMEs to digital payment solutions to enable seamless online transactions
- Logistics integration, ensuring the businesses could reliably fulfill and deliver orders generated online
By walking each SME through every stage — from first principles to fully operational digital storefronts — Mr. Bah demonstrated exactly the kind of practical, business-first mentorship that the READY Salone programme is designed to cultivate. It is this hands-on impact, delivered even before certification was formally completed, that speaks to the depth of expertise now being recognized through ITC's E-Commerce Advisor credential.
